This book looks scrumptious on the cover and inside. However, it teaches you techniques with color mixing charts, but it does not give you any indication of the exact colors used and you are left to work it out on your own. I was expecting at least some line drawings, but was a techniques book only. Loved the pictures and the skies. He gave some actual samples of rubbing paint with your thumb, making dots in blue and yellow so it appears green, line strokes. It was not a step by step book. The packaging and layout was outstanding and the cover has the most beautiful colors ever.

This has some great tips. Although mine does not come out like the author suggested in the color combinations, I did pick up some great ideas and tips. Especially for the clouds and the wave splash. He gives color combos for different areas, but not how much of each color to combine.
Loved the book, but discovered it is more for experienced painters. I needed something for beginners. It does have great step by step how tos.
It is a very good book. It has step by step photos and explanations. I think the sea is one of the most difficult things to paint, so this book is very helpful. Very good tips on how to paint clouds.

I was a little disappointed. I thought the book would have more representation of the picture on the front cover.
