Reb Moshe Steinerman is a tireless agent of kiruv and is described in one of the Rabbinic Approvals that open the book as "a tomim (pure-hearted one) in the most flattering sense of the word". His pure-heartedness is felt in his books, they are filled with light.This book is packed full of priceless tales of tzaddikim (exceptionally righteous people). A Journey Into Holiness is bursting with joy, awe, reverence and miracles. The personalities of these tzaddikim are vast and varied but all of them are uniquely giants among men. These are stories that affect one's inner landscape. Reb Moshe has done a brilliant job of choosing which stories to include. I laughed, I cried but most of all I was proud to know these people even through something as simple as a story. These tales serve to clean old wounds and alleviate old sorrows. Such is the power of a tzaddik.
This book is a collection of Jewish stories full of meaning and also inspiration. What I appreciate most about this collection of stories is that their lessons are usually applicable to the average person seeking to serve God. These stories don't awe you, they instruct you about faith, having a good eye, contentment, etc. It is a highly recommended read.
