This last book in the New Life Tabernacle series was awesome. The story is about Tink who owns a soul food restaurant, Honey Chile. She strives to make her life and her restaurant a success. Some of the characters from the previous books in the series are in this book, however Tink (Natalie) is the main character. This book is so good! I read it in one day which is typical for Ms. Bowman's books. I love this author and each of her series are great. My church book club read the first series and now we are reading this one. You will not be disappointed with any of Ms. Bowman's books!
Sigh...... I love books with a great message and happy ending. Tink is like a lot of us that think we have to be strong all the time and decline assistance because we may look weak. However, as a believer, when we are weak, God is strong. Ms Ely was so adorable and hilarious. I loved her protectiveness over Tink. James was a very good thing for Tink. He did things for her and they weren't even in a relationship. Simply amazing story on trusting God, waiting and coming out of the storm stronger than ever. Side note: Vera would've caught these hands. She was doing the absolute most. Great book!!
This is just like the rest of Lashonda's books, the Best ever. She has endured health issues and has still been able to keep up with writing her books. Her readers are not left hanging and you are able to remember that last book and key up. I don't usually buy series's but Lashonda Bowman books are worth every dime!!! Love it all the way to the next series!!!
I finished the series. I loved all three. Tink worked me emotionally. I didn’t know how or when Tink’s life was going to be good again. I could relate to her praise. God is in the middle in good times and bad, you just have to believe. It all belongs to God. LaShonda did it again. She wrote a great book. I love Robin’s character. She is the peace maker. A must read.
This book was soo good. In this book we catch up with Tink who is riding high off the success of her restaurant Honey Chile. But before she can open her second location problem after problem keep piling on. But we all know God won't put more on us than we can bear. But will Tink break or get through it all. I suggest you read the book to find out.
I am so grateful for this book. It has blessed me more that I can exp!ain just know that God has encouraged me to continued to trust and lean on Him through your words. Thank giu.
Simply put another masterpiece!! Ms Bowman, job more than well done again!! I've read all three in the series and couldn't put any down!!! I truly want to share these with my church family, so we can start a Christian book club!! God bless you abundantly my sister in Christ!! Keep the gift of writing alive!
It started out a little boring, but the more I read it became very good. I love the fact that forgiveness is always in order and to see how tink was believing one thing about who her father was not realizing that she was truly spending time with her biological father was a blessing. Things like this story truly happens in life. I'm a product of such. Good job!
