So this isn't quite the traditional romance story. Instead, each couple from prior books makes an appearance and we get caught up with their POVs during the 2-3 months leading up to Ian and Jane's Christmas Eve wedding. There are no new romances and everything is hunky dory more or less for everyone except for Salazar and Ceinlys, who are now divorced and butt heads about the wedding venue.I have to admit, I remember this series because of this couple (ex-couple). Their hateful, hurtful actions with each other sprinkled throughout each book in the series caused their kids so many problems to overcome to find their own true loves. But the icing on the cake was the heart shattering reveal in the last book when Ceinlys finds out that their downward spiral started with an overheard lie.All throughout the series, I've been dying to learn if the author intends to reconcile these two or keep them as bitter, stubborn, prideful, hurt and separate. They have broken my heart again and again because it's clear there's love there otherwise they couldn't hurt each other so badly. So I was super ecstatic when I found out their story is expanded upon here and it didn't disappoint.Not recommended for people who haven't read the rest of the books in the series because you won't know/care about the various couples.This book is super recommended for anyone wanting to know how the Eternal Couple fares.
Here we are at Book 6 in the series. Iain Pryce and Jane Connelly have returned from their Book 2 appearance (The Billionaire's Holiday Obsession -The Pryce Family Book 2) and planning their Christmas Eve Wedding. Who does the couple look to plan their holiday wedding at such short notice? None other than Iain’s mother and Pryce Family matriarch Ceinlys. While making sure her son and future daughter -in-law have the wedding of their dreams on a small budget provided by Jane's father she is also dealing with being newly divorced from Salazar. I don’t want to reveal too much, but I will say the story is nicely done. Not only do readers get to check in with some of our favorite characters, but also see the story from their point-of- view. I definitely see both Salazar and Ceinlys in a different light. I would recommend this book. Just a little advice you will need to read previous books in order to know who’s who and what’s going on.
Interesting story that explains a few things going through the heads of these prideful parents which lead to their divorce and screwing up the lives of their children. All brought up through wedding preparations for Jane and Iain. Didn't have all the sexual content of all the other stories so it was kind of nice.
It is such a sad thing when we allow pride to dictate our actions. Salazar and Ceinlyn lost out on so much and after 3 decades together finally realized the destructive path they had chosen due to assumptions, fear and pride. I am glad they are allowing themselves to try and find their way back to each other. Their story isn't over yet.
Another great story Nadia! This book was more than just the Christmas Eve wedding. It was about another love story too. I do not give away stories so take my word for it, this is an amazing book with a great story plus the added bonuses. I highly recommend this whole series.
This is a nice ending to the series. I especially liked that there now seems to be hope that Salazar and Ceinlys might get back together, even after all the pain they had caused each other and their children. I also liked that their children finding love helped them realize some of the mistakes they had made.
I just love this story!! Jane and Ian's wedding was so beautifully simple.I also loved The way Salazar found his true love.I can't wait to see if there is mire about Salazar.Great job Nadia Lee!!
I gave this book 5 stars. I enjoy reading about Pyrce family and their friends. I hope that there's more to come with Dane and Sophia's wedding. This book was excellent. You won't stop reading it until the end.
