I love how she and her illustrator combined theirefforts yo make this a sweet and silly introduction to potty training. Eventhough my kids are teens, we still take time to read kid books. My son readthis to his best friends 3 year old cousin and the giggled, and got veryexcited. My favorite was Octavia Rose Octopus! I imaginary if I was one of theanimals in the zoo it would be her of course. Loved the rhyming tempo, thebeautiful illustration, and thoughtful creativity. Wonderful rhymes about many interesting animals, each using their own potty just their style. Found one spelling error (stripped should be striped) and there were a few places where punctuation could be improved. Overall, a great book to keep handy for reading to a little one who is potty training.
This is such a cute book! It talks to the reader like they are sitting on the toilet, so it doesn’t make as much sense if they’re not on it while you read the book. It’s a good distraction so they forget/relax and use the toilet. It does mention a two year old that’s not ready yet, so just a heads up if you are training a 2yo! The rhymes are cute, and I love the illustrations.
I bought this book along with several others to start my nephew's library. The story is cute, a child will think it's funny. It's a good potty training book, to spend time with your child while they're training. Each letter of the alphabet several lines about an animal going potty (it really is cute) like Albert the Alligator.
As much as I enjoy the art in this book my little one just can get into it. It’s too lengthy, and maybe far too much odd art works per page, to hold her attention. Not sure if it would do well with other toddlers but my little one isn’t into it.
Super cute book. I loved the illustrations. It’s a good book to help teach and show kiddos how to use the bathroom. The kiddos will certainly click with one of the animals in the book.
I think I could get through this book with my 5 1/2 year old now, but I still couldn't with my 2 1/2 year old. When we got this I was so excited we started reading it with both of them! We didn't finish it. And haven't tried to read it again since because it is so long. I was expecting it to be simpler for a child who is the age where you'd start potty training, but it was too wordy to keep her attention. :/
Really cute book! I like that I can read the entire book for a extended potty session or just a page or two for a quick potty trip. My son loves it!
The two year old is too young for it--like the gorilla in the poem. I think in a few months or a year he will enjoy it more.
